Veines et déveines

The wall is cracking. The pipes are showing through. The fluids flow inside and out. As in an anatomical engraving, the veins are in blue and the arteries in red. In French “veine” (vein) also means good luck. In the actual case of the city, it comes in the shape of a pleasant encounter, exchanges, a shopping spree, a visit, a reunion or a discovery. In French word “déveine” means an accident, an emergency, bad weather, a traffic jam, missing a train or missing an opportunity. A host of micro events that traverse the city and show us how porous the walls of privacy are.
